Core Value #7 – Be Allergic to Average
 
Average is just that…. average.
 
It’s uninspiring. It’s the bare minimum. Sure, you might achieve something by playing it safe, but will it be enough? Will it get you to the next level? Not a chance.
 
At Stratus, we live by a different standard. In the 15 years since our founding, not a single move Mike made to get us where we are today was average. Average people don’t completely pivot their business model after 13 years, instead they stay comfortable. But being allergic to average means taking risks. It means hitting your target and then blowing past it.
 
Jess May had a goal to renew 4 out of 8 accounts for Q3. She hit that goal….by renewing 14. Blaise had a Q1 goal to close 4k in new revenue…he closed 15k. Jackie had a Q2 goal to close 12k in new revenue…she closed 21k.
 
Jackie is a Presidents Club staple, Jess has made it every year she’s been eligible, and Blaise is knocking on the door for the second straight year. Theres a reason these folks are where they are…. cause they are most certainly allergic to average.
